This past weekend, we didn’t just show up; we made a statement.
During the 2025 International Boxing Hall of Fame weekend in Rome, New York, Fight 4 Mental Health stood front and center, bringing our mission of healing and hope to the fight world’s most legendary gathering.
With Egypt X securing ringside access, we kicked things off Friday night at the Cruz vs. Ortiz bout, seated right by the belt; where the energy was electric, the stakes high, and the momentum undeniable. That matchup was more than a fight; it was a preview of what’s to come, setting the stage for Clarissa Shields’ July return and reminding the world just how strong women’s boxing is right now.
But the real moment of impact came when Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the WBC, personally invited us to join him and his family at the International Boxing Hall of Fame Gala. We are beyond grateful for the hospitality, the warmth, and the powerful sense of legacy in that room. Thank you to Mauricio and the entire WBC team for showing us what real inclusion looks like in the sport.
Surrounded by legends like Roy Jones Jr., Manny Pacquiao and so many other icons who shaped the game, we weren’t just networking; we were planting seeds for change. The vision of mental health advocacy in combat sports is no longer on the outside looking in. We’re at the table. Literally.
And despite the challenges; we didn’t just survive the weekend, we owned it. Every step we took was a step for the fighters still battling in silence. For the kids growing up believing toughness means hiding the pain. For the champions fighting mental wars behind closed doors.
We’re here for them.
Thank you to the show’s promoters, the International Boxing Hall of Fame team, and the entire upstate New York community. This weekend reminded us that the battle for the mind is just as important as the one in the ring and we’re not backing down.
